Gary School Water Damage
These pictures are from a school in Gary that had a sprinkler head break. The water damage covered over 8,000 square feet. The sprinklers had never been flushed and it was contaminated with oil, bacteria, and stale water that had been sitting for years. The water sprayed on the walls, damaged ceiling tiles, and was soaked up by the drywall. It even got behind the lockers.
This occurred on Tuesday and we had the school back open on Monday. We extracted the water, removed the wet ceiling tiles, disinfected all the chairs, tables, etc. that had been contaminated by the black water. We cut out the affected drywall and insulation, and had new drywall in place. We finished the repairs such as drywall mudding, sanding, painting, and the construction cleanup during the school's spring break. We even called in an Industrial Hygienist to ensure it was safe for the students. The school was very happy with our services.
